The company "Top Media Comunication" is working to prepare our tour for the new album "UkrainSKA"! For all question contact Olga Chertkova +38(067) 753 72 07

We have temporarily turned into a quartet. Our trombone player Valeriy Chesnokov has spend over a week in hospital and in the meantime trumpet man Vadym Nikitan literally blowing his guts out in doubbled force. Exclusive concerts with such line up happened on March 4 in Zhytomyr's Golden Gate Club and 5 th in Kiev's Docker Pub. The next concert on March 12 we will also play foursome, then again Valeriy will join us on stage.

Finally, our work on the studio album of folk songs "UkrainSKA" is successfully completed. The recording is finished and now we are waiting for our record company to set the date of release. This good news we will announce as soon as we know.

Meanwhile, we have decided not to give concerts with "UkrainSKA" before the official release of the disc. Therefore, all supporters of folklore in our performance will have to wait, be patient and want even stronger! In the nearest future, we will play only our own songs at Docker's. But we will make an exception for the audience in Zhytomyr, where we gonna hold the party on March 4 - our perfomance there will include the best from both concert programs.

We are in the German e-zine ROCKINGSTEADY, which is specialized on SKA music of all kinds. Here you can download the English version with multimedia, here is German version with multimedia, and without multimedia.

Congratulations to you all for the forthcoming New Year! We wish you a Merry Christmas and happy holidays and here goes the present from MAD HEADS XL. At this address you can download the song "Novyi Rik" (New Year) and see a flash animated greeting card (for which we thank Madtwins!). The greeting card can be downloaded here use it to greet anyone!

Celebrate the New Year eve with MAD HEADS XL!!! You have 3 options to do so. At 23-00 we start in DOCKER'S ABC on Khreschatyk str., at 01-00 go to UKaine's main stage on Maidan Nezalezhnosti, and after 02-00 we go wild at DOCKER PUB in Obolon district.

December 4, art pub DOCKER'S ABC holded a very unusual concert. We were joined on stage by violin virtuoso Vasyl Popadiuk. A great musician, Canadian of Ukrainian origin (we actually met with him at festivals in Toronto), Vasyl rested in Kiev after a successful tour of Ukraine and kindly agreed to jam with us. Maestro also visited us in the studio and decorated a couple of our songs with his wonder-violin , but of that we let know more later. In the meantime, you can find a small piece of our jam here.

Vadim Krasnooky helped public movement NE BUD BAIDUZHYM! (Do not be ignorant!) to hand over the award "Rotten Pumpkin" to a coffee shop, that does not adhere to the language legislation of Ukraine. In fact, this situation is really scandalous, because according to the results of annual monitoring 72% of restaurants and cafes in our country are not able to serve customers in Ukrainian. As seen on TV.

On November 6, DOCKER PUB in Obolon got on fire. But the information that the famous rock'n'roll club has burned to ashes, as reported by some of the media, is far from the truth. Seriously affected by the fire are terrace and administrative offices. Main hall, stage and bar remained completely intact. Repair work carried out at high speed, and on 18 November DOCKER is back to it's normal life. Thus, PREVIOUSLY ANNOUNCED DATES FOR OUR SHOWS ON 20 AND 26 NOVEMBER HAVE NO CHANGES!

October 28, at "Arena Dance Club" we presented a special concert program, which is ideal for any party, including the New Year eve, which is steadily approaching. We used our years of experience in inflammatory perfomnces at various gatherings and celebrations, worked it up, and now ready to PARTY like never before! The party-concept was judged by representatives of several dozens event-agencies and the media.

Meanwhile, we are heading towards the completion of work on the album of folk songs UkrainSKA. Touring activity and some studio technical problems prevented us to release a CD at the beginning of autumn, as we originally planned. However, such was the case with all our albums, so it's been neither surprising nor sad. The main thing is that we are satisfied how the new material sounds and hope to soon make it public domain. One song we have even already presented on air in the popular TV show SHUSTER LIVE on October 29. Watch here, at the very end of the program.

We are just back from Canada, where we found out the hospitality of the Ukrainian diaspora, one of the largest and most influential ethnic communities in this beautiful country. We spent an unforgettable week under the maple leaf flag, visited Niagara Falls, learned more about Canadian Ukrainians, and most importantly, we were amused to discovered that in this country our songs have a lot of fans. About 500 people showed up at our solo concert in Edmonton. The festival of Ukrainian culture in Toronto, where our performance was one of the most important events, attracted 500 000 visitors. Concerts have been extremely successful, and the whole trip left a great impression. Here  you can read the article (in Russian), here listen to an interview with Vadim Krasnooky (in English) and see photos and video from Toronto Ukrainian festival. And here - photos from the concert in Edmonton.

Meanwhile we are back in Ukraine and there are 2 quite interesting concerts coming in the nearest days. First - FENDER PARTY, guitar event, dedicated to the legendary music brand. The program - Ukrainian musicians and foreign virtuoso Greg Koch. For MAD HEADS fans this concert is going to be of special interest, because the band will perform as a trio, without the brass section. Over the past 6 years we played in trio format only once, so this is going to be the real exclusive. Most songs in the set list will be from earlier pre-XL albums. The second concert - which we will do already at full strength, is going to take place at the largest Ukrainian rock festival "ROCK SICH", where we will hit the stage with especially powerful program.

In September we are going to Canada to perform as headliners on the biggest festival of Ukrainian culture in the North America TORONTO UKRAINIAN FESTIVAL in Toronto. We are also going to play a concert in another Canadian city, Edmonton. Because of this we feel ourselves columbuses, as this is going to be the opening of America, our band will perform on American continent for the first time ever!
